Mostly level charming bike path along an old industrial canal.

Its a nice path but nobody calls it the rail trail

Love that this rail trail takes you from beautiful Barton's Cove, past old mill buildings that illustrated our industrial heritage, through a patch of woods, and over an old railroad bridge at the confluence of the Connecticut River and Deerfield River. Trail ends at a big train switchyard. The canal itself hosts migrating birds. I love the blend of nature and early industry, both in a very do-able ride for all ages.
